I would recommend this book to men and women who are looking for a bit of fun, who would like to break up the routine of their typical reading list.In "Side Dish in a Married Man's Buffet" Annie C. Kelly introduced me to Mackenzie, a level-headed blonde who goes through a sex-capade of experiences with her man, Scott. The chemistry between Mackenzie and Scott is unbearable at times (unbearable IN THE BEST WAY!) which had me wishing I was a participant in many of their thrills and spills.
While it seems that Mackenzie's story is told with pleasure in mind, it is actually about much more. While I closed in on the last chapter, I had already busted up laughing dozens of times at the good amount of observational humor within the story. I also had my eyes well-up during many of the emotional moments, through the twists and turns of the plot, and the sorrowful mishaps within the relationships.
Upon finishing the book, I feel like I have met a life long friend; I have grown attached to Mackenzie by the choices she made throughout the story. They are choices many of us will have to make in our own lives; I can only hope if I am ever in similar situations, I will have the same strength, wit, and tastiness that Mackenzie had!

Just finished reading your book. I thought it was a great read. The ending was great. Glad to see she ended up with Mike or did she. Should make for an interesting 2nd book or its an ending where you need to use your imagination. Either way great job Annie.
This is a fascinating view from the perspective of the "other woman" in an affair. It explores the complex reasons and emotions that would lead a woman to enter into an affair with a married man and the heavy emotional consequences. A must read for fans of The 50 Shades of Grey.
While not my usual read I really did enjoy this book. The description by the author says this book is semi autobiographical. After reading this book I got the feeling that the author could take the "semi" part out of that statement. It just didn't feel made up. Annie does a great job in giving some insight into the mind of the "other" women and why she makes the choice she makes. I would definitely recommend this book. I really hope the author ends up with her Mike, after another book or two. Haha. Great work Annie!
Annie C. Kelly, has done a remarkable job of mixing, a story of searching for love, over coming some of her personality goals, and also her seeing what type of love she was really destined for. Her writing was exciting and at times, would leave the reader in surprise of where it all would end. Her characters were as real as we, people can be from time to time. And on a final note, the Author Annie C. Kelly brings the story together in a way that makes you feel you were the book as well. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read of chasing dreams, reaching out of your comfort zone, and truly making life happen. Thank you again for your book Annie C. Kelly and hope to see more from you soon.
I rarely read books. I'm mostly a magazine or short news articles kind of guy. But Annie C. Kelly's book grabbed me and wouldn't let me go. I devoured the entire 300+ pages over three nights, finishing it at 430am because I just had to know what happened to her character.
While it would be easy to dismiss the "other woman" as home wrecker or gold digger, the author does an outstanding job of showing why she continued to choose that path and the consequences of her actions. You may hate her, you may love her but you wont' be bored with her story. The author's adventures in a married man's buffet are at times sad, at times funny and many times very sexy. You will find out the lengths she goes to pleasing her men in the hope of finding love. I am already looking forward to next book and her continuing saga.
Highly recommended for a sexy, captivating read.
A blonde, a Ford truck and a mattress, Side Dish in a Married Man's Buffet is not that kind of book. It is a book that reveals in intellectual depth the sexual passion and emotional entanglement of a time in the writer's life. Annie C. Kelly abandons all inhibition and provides in picturesque detail, a spreading of one's self, naked and surrendering. Words, good looks and charm are powerful commodities and Mackenzie wilfully falls prey to Scott. We all know, that it is easy to take your cloths off and have sex, people do it all the time. This book is not about the commonality of one's sex life. It is about something worth writing about !!
From the first page I was involved with Makenzie and her story and wishing I was the other guy. The author keeps you intrigued and wanting to read more about her and her exploits. While I was reading her book I was trying to remember a time I experienced anything like this, ever. The story will move you through her life adventures, revealing every romantic and sexual detail that gets better and surprising to the point you feel like your there, I felt like I was there experiencing her every move and felt her joy and sadness.
I was moved to read about her experiences as a child and the effect it had on her through the years. She is a survivor of her adolescent turmoil and finally pulled her self through with determination and sacrifices. The book will illustrate her wit and great sense of humor but most of all her natural ability to keep her lovers guessing on what she will do and say next, not to mention the reader as well.
